If you saw my post yesterday you know that I saved every item my much loved neighbor couldn’t take with him to his new home. But my day wasn’t quite over.

A favorite neighbor was moving today. I wanted to say goodbye and headed outside where I ran into my best friend/neighbor who had the same idea. Not sure if I should be glad I did as now I have a multitude of projects to work on.
When moving, our neighbor couldn’t take all his things and knew he’d get in trouble by management if he left a sign on them saying free out front. So they were going off to the dumpster when he smiled and spotted us coming out. Here’s what I saved today.
I recently purchased a few bars of soap to get through the winter months as there are going to be plenty of days I just want to stay indoors and not have to shop. I knew I could think of something to do with the box and came up with a winning idea. I had 20 minutes before my daughter-in-law was expected to pick me up to head out for groceries. When completed I still had 12 minutes left to wait. So here’s a no-sew project for your little ones.
Okay so it isn’t the yellow brick road, but here’s how we get around town.
I’ve had a little break from the rain for a bit today, so with a little sunshine and warmer temperatures (in the mid 60s) I headed outside to check out what needed to be cleaned up in the Little Cove.
The more I get done now, hopefully the less I will have to do in the spring.
Back on August 4th, I told you about a chair I saved. It was tired, old, nicked up and even gouged in areas. But it was still strong and had plenty of life still in it. I thought it would be a quick face-lift but then life got in the way. Well I can finally show you the finished chair. Here’s the beginning.
Ever since I found the children’s room decorating books for the grand kids to look at before moving into their new home, they like to pick out decorating books to look at at my place when we go to the library.
I took a bit of time last night when I couldn’t sleep to go through a couple, bad idea it got my mind working on lots of new ideas. Here are a few of my favorite ideas as a result.
The name of my blog is Living Simply Free. What I meant by that was that I had found the time I had been wasting previously when I downsized. Time to do whatever I wanted when I wanted. Time not to rush around with my head spinning with all the things I needed to get done. Sounds good right? Well, life gets in the way some days. I have plenty of free time, but because of that I have been giving plenty of it away helping others.
As a result I recently found myself multi-tasking through a couple of chores with not such good results.
